The aim of the PhD program in Systems Science is to equip students with the necessary skills to conduct advanced research in the field of analysis and design of a range of technological, natural, economic, and social systems. This is achieved through the use of descriptive and predictive mathematical models. 

In the Software Quality track, we welcome outstanding PhD candidates with interests in several areas including formal methods, machine learning, modeling and simulation, program verification, cyber-security, and software engineering.

We lead the national Ph.D. program in cybersecurity, aiming to form a new class of security experts with technical, legal, and organizational knowledge for reducing the skill gap in cybersecurity and protecting citizens' rights in cyberspace.

We coordinate the training and the participation of C3T in CyberChallenge.IT project.

CyberChallenge.IT is the main cybersecurity training program in Italy for university and high school students, and it is organized by the Cybersecurity National Lab. The project aims to promote computer science disciplines, particularly those related to cybersecurity, among young people and in schools. Universities involved in the project actively participate in the selection and training process.

We participate in the training of the CyberTrials project.

CyberTrials is a free training program aimed at Italian high school girls, and it is organized by the Cybersecurity National Lab. The goal of the project is to promote the topics of cyber security and online civic-mindedness among girls. The training covers the necessary topics to enable students to understand, deepen and master cybersecurity-related topics and technological tools.
