I am a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the National Research Council and I constantly collaborate with the SYSMA unit @IMT Lucca.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Information Engineering at the University of Pisa, in 2005, working on formal techniques for the verification of security properties of multicast communication protocols.

Years went by. In 2012, I started studying automatic techniques for the detection of fake accounts on social media and news published online by untrusted information sources.

I also deal with data privacy, for years I have been involved in European Projects on a seamless definition of data privacy requirements, with the aim of transforming texts from natural language to processable language in the most effective way possible.

Summing up, my field of research, at high level, lies between Cybersecurity and Data Science. At low level, I deal with fake news/fake accounts detection and the specification of privacy and security requirements.
