EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS POSITIONS

I obtained my Master Degree in Information Science in 1989 and my PhD degree in Computer Science in 1993, both at the University of Pisa. I worked at the Goethe University Frankfurt, the University of South Australia, the University of Queensland and the International Institute for Software Technology of the United Nations University (UNU-IIST).

RESEARCH

My current research interests include:

  • software engineering;
  • human-computer interaction and cognitive science;
  • process mining and conformance analysis;
  • OSS models and certification;
  • analysis of OSS development;
  • collaborative learning;
  • systems biology;
  • ecology; and
  • the use of formal methods in various application domains.
